The Project Manager will be responsible for managing key projects and initiatives supporting Product business teams across Aerospace and is designed to elevate the capabilities of the Product managers and improve the velocity in Product development
This position reports directly to the Sr. Director, Product Management Operations and VPD
Areas of Responsibility: STRAP and AOP Development
+ Works with business and product leaders to lead collection of key inputs for annual Portfolio Assessments; Ensures accountability and successful completion to meet STRAP milestones; Responsible for tool design and continuously upgrading the same.
+ Support development of Aerospace STRAP, the annual operating plan (AOP) through executing actions for Portfolio optimization capability in Accolade including maintenance of affordability targets in Accolade, Scorecards and Business analytics (RDE related)
+ Interfaces with Product Management, Strategic Marketing, Finance and PMOS to enable completion of STRAP and AOP actions to schedule and provide relevant training through the STRAP and AOP cycles
Areas of Responsibility: Continuous Improvement projects, Tools and Training
+ Execute actions to drive significant productivity gain for Product managers as measured by time saved
+ Design and own maintenance of New Product manager on-boarding process
+ Supports driving right prioritization, optimization of investment and reduction of cycle time for programs in Phase 0-2 including data analytics to help refine short cycle growth
+ Support SBU RD&E interlocks ensuring leadership reviews, disposition of Program Financial Change Requests, promoting discussion and ensuring closure of active items.
+ Execute and support actions and Continuous Improvement projects to optimize product life cycle management (Accolade enhancements, Portfolio Assessment, Annual Product line hierarchy upgrades and maintenance)
+ Supports maturing tools roadmap and ensures effective deployment and support of Accolade including IPDS and New Product Introduction (NPI) metrics and reporting
to the US and/ or internationally required
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science or Engineering from an accredited univerity
+ 5+ years' experience working in a Project / Program Management or Business role with increasingly responsible role
+ Due to export control regulations, this position requires US citizenship status
+ Must be able to read, write and speak English
+ Excellent Project and Program Management skills; PMP a plus
+ Good understanding of Aerospace Product Portfolio
+ Product management operations and how Aerospace runs
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
+ Highly motivated; goal and results-oriented
+ Can build and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
+ Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships and to influence across organizational, functional, and geographic boundaries to get the desired results.
+ Experience and knowledge of the industry a plus
+ Six Sigma Greenbelt, Blackbelt or Lean Certified.
+ SAP experience
+ Demonstrated leadership experience leading, developing and managing business or process improvement projects
+ Strong business acumen
+ Demonstrated ability to think creatively, to anticipate problems and opportunities, and to be an effective change agent
